Booked the Ivy mount for 2 nights to celebrate anniversary and partners birthday, upon arrival we were greeted by staff at reception. Parked our car on the premises which has cameras so no need to worry. We booked an en suite room which was big enough and very clean! Comfiest bed with tv at the bottom.. had cooked breakfast both mornings, cooked to perfection, both owners greeted us and gave us loads of information about the area which found very helpful! Lovely people.. tram isn’t far and taxis into the centre are around £6-£12 .. we had a fantastic stay here at Ivy Mount and would definitely book again in the near further when we go back down to Manchester! 🙂
Staying here while in between a house move. Checked out from a different hotel early due to it being more oriented to shouting football fans (not ideal when you’ve got to be at work at 8am) and now we wish we would have booked this in the first place. Everything has been lovely and nothing has been too much trouble. Our moody cat was also welcome and the lady serving breakfast even asked about her this morning. Lovely touch! There’s a cute grab and go breakfast for those in a rush in the morning with a yummy muffin amongst other things. Our room had been cleaned by the time we got back from work (didn’t expect that, especially with a pet in the room). No issues whatsoever with cold water some have mentioned before but the only problem may be parking (we managed to park on the street and don’t see this as a major set back) as you may not get a spot / may be blocked in. But street parking seems to be available (I hope!). Rooms are modern, reasonably equipped with little shampoos etc and fairly comfortable.
Stayed here on my own whilst my husband was in the hospital, Paul & Gita and the staff looked after me so well – they made a very stressful time so much easier for me. Grab & Go breakfast was great and as I had the Garden Apartment I had full kitchen facilities of my own when I needed them. The whole apartment was very comfortable and I really recommend a stay here.
I stayed here so I could attend training at the Royal Salford Hospital- and it ticks every box. The staff were very welcoming. I was worried about getting there for 8:00pm but the bar is open until 11 and
People arriving after 8 were dealt with without issue.
I was shown to my room in an adjacent building and then returned to the bar for a drink. It is also where food is served and was a pleasant space.
The grab and go breakfast was spot on I was welcomed to eat in – sitting down juice and tea provided etc.
It was also possible for me to leave my car there whilst I was on my course which was very useful but I appreciate cannot be guaranteed as an option.
This is just the sort of place you need for an overnight stay
I arrived late after a dreadful journey over the M62 in a blizzard. I was quite upset and the gentleman who checked me in could not have been more helpful. He helped me get my car parked safely and carried all my bags to my room. The room was great – clean, warm, and with excellent wifi and a great shower. The grab and go breakfast the next morning was excellent – best sausage sandwich I have had for a long time! I had a lovely chat with Paul, the owner, while he was cooking my breakfast. He could not have been more friendly and helpful.
I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely boutique hotel whilst working in Manchester. It is situated in Monton,a lovely area, which has lovely bars restaurants close by . However the hotel has a very nice bar. So friendly and accommodating. They simply could not do enough for you. The breakfast was superb & I shall definitely be returning when I have to go back to Manchester in a few weeks to work.
